## Digital Empathy Framework

Digital Empathy is MWE's proprietary product framework for patient-facing software, developed with Dr. Kavita Babu (Division Chief, Medical Toxicology; Emergency Physician, UMass Memorial Medical Center) and grounded in clinical research on how empathy functions in care delivery.

The framework structures patient-facing software around three phases:
- Listen: the application collects patient-generated health data, device integrations, and caregiver inputs from daily life between clinical visits
- Understand: the application surfaces what that data means — trends over time, AI-synthesized patterns, shareable summaries — reducing cognitive burden for the patient
- Help: the application uses what it knows to guide the patient forward: dietary adjustments, appointment prompts, and escalation to the care team at the moment it is clinically relevant

Digital Empathy is applied to every patient-facing engagement MWE undertakes.
